sure that is a U model?

Nope and the photo is not clear enough to ascertain but the advertisement states it.

The video isn't much better.

What's more, it looks like the trunnion stand has a brass bushed spindle but the trunnion housing looks to be the two piece rubber type.

I didn't watch a video but the cab mounting is too far to the right, (as in convenional R model) to be a "U" series. This is judging by the photo taken from the video posted.

Nope, that is an R model for certain. The mismatched tires, and "Dupont overhaul" make it special. The truck appears to have had a dump body on it at one time looking at the pivot points at the rear.

Holy SH*T! if those are the "good" tires,i wonder what the bad ones look like? i have allways wondered why people think if a truck that says Mack on it,is automatically worth its weight in gold, regardless of condition,or having been beat do death, and not properly cared for. I do understand top asking price for a top shape truck, but this kind of BS is just ridiculous! and P.S. 20 cans of semi-gloss "krylon" does not count as new paint!..........................Mark

This truck used to be an R-model, but ever since it stalled on the tracks and that slow moving train hit it and knocked the cab cranksided it's been a U-model.

Producer of poorly photo-chopped pictures since 1999.
