It will hold 11.4 Volts

But will not start

Have cleaned cables, if I put a charger on it, get volts up around 13 it starts.

Hi Chuck, I would take the batteries to a battery center and have them tested first. Have you tried disconnecting them from the truck with a full charge and letting them set a couple of days, then retesting? This can be an indication of an internal short or sulfation of the plates causing self discharge. Have you noticed the batteries being warmer than they should be? This is another cause to self discharge. I'd pull them and get to a battery store with a carbon pile to test them under a strong load to evaluate integrity.

I'm with Rob on this one. I've had mine do the same thing (sounds like) but checking them out individually with a load on, 1 or 2 would drop down to around 5 volts. I'm not sure but suspected maybe they were shorted out. Replaced all of them and everything worked fine. Trey
