One of the selling points for Macks integral sleepers was how they could easily be removed for conversion to a day cab. I note that Mack no longer mentions that attribute- can the current Mack sleeper be easily removed or is it a permanent part of the cab like Volvo's?

I believe you still can. I wrote an e-mail to the engineers to see if they were ever going to come out with a little coffin sleeper like Kenworth,Western Star, and Freightliner have, but they never sent anything back. I think it would sell well for dump and lowboy guys like me that sometimes get caught out at night, but just onca in a while.
