jaysm35a2 Posted October 28, 2011 Share Posted October 28, 2011 I pulled the PTO off the truck today, well I dont know enough about them but im posting a picture of something with another gear on it that slides out also. Does that come off too or stay on the trans?Other than that it looks like its about done. rhasler Posted October 28, 2011 Share Posted October 28, 2011 Take it off and the plates/spacer between it and the transmission case . It's a gear adapter for the PTO. shortstack Posted October 30, 2011 Share Posted October 30, 2011 If you've got two nuts that went on them you can put both on one stud and tighten them up against each other and maybe get them out that way, or a pair of vice grips but that may kind of mess up the studs or they do make a tool to remove studs but it shouldn't be that difficult.
