Looking at Nevada-the only areas that voted Stupid were the Vegas region, the Reno region and,it looks like a stretch South off I-80 between Beowawe and Battle Mountain,South towards Austin & Eureka. ( :idunno: Don't really know WHAT to make of that...). Elko was pretty solid Republican, having experienced 4 years of the Liberals "better ideas".

Nope-I'm wrong. Actually, that little weerd strip there (and it looks like another over past Winnemucca and North) appear to be bits of the vast uncharted wilderness not inhabited by humans. So-it WAS just Reno and Vegas that helped sink the US. Thank you-thank you ver' much.

Wouldn't surprise me-Now the O-boy has 4 more years,I think pretty much ALL gasoline and Diesel vehicles are soon to be made extinct. Watch Califorina's actions-they usually set the trend on user-unfriendly measures, and the real world ends up following suit. :whistling: I wonder how many solar panels it'll take to haul 100K of freight down the road.

Company I've got my truck leased to is considering trying out a natural gas truck or two...not sure how/where they would fuel them, since there really isn't an established fuel network. But then they are also experimenting with e-logs, too. Funny thing about that is the e-logs cost the company money to instal them and then more money to run them. Then, EVERY driver I've spoken to that has 'em absolutely hates them because they have been forced to get 1 to 2 motel rooms PER WEEK where they used to make it home every night.

I wonder how long it will be before those silly things are only placed in company trucks with sleepers....or how long it will be until they stop buying day cabs....because we KNOW they aren't going to go against the ATA and decide that the e-logs are not beneficial.

Personally, I'm not going to put one in my truck. I'd rather park it and change oil & tires at Walmart than to run a truck with e-logs or any other electronic tracking device.

When approaching a 4-way stop, the vehicle with the biggest tires has the right of way!

Now if some one would explain to me how electric vehicles are "zero polluters" why we use more "dirty" energy to make a Volt than a conventional vehicle , more energy to keep it charged, more energy to make the batteries and import them from Asia and no idea how to dispose of the lithium ion batteries when dead?

Paul, You really need to get past this hangup you have with logic and common sense.

:SMOKIE-RT:

What we need to keep in mind is that LOGIC and COMMON SENSE have NO place in modern Politics  . THEY dream up ideas,WE'RE forced to make 'em work or suffer the consequences. BTW-As "Educated" as most of them are, they're pretty STUPID on the subject of what is or isn't possible.

Lets not forget how much it costs to buy one.-roughly the price I'm paying for my house. Unless they can make one I can comfortably LIVE in,or I manage to acquire enough disposable wealth to buy one "Just cuz" they're never going to be a worthwhile buy for the THINKING Public.

Common sense tells me to be logical...

Hemming Classic Car had a drive test of Leno's un restored 1899 Electric Buggy, twin 60 volt motors. It has a 40 mile range...Same range as the Volt built 114 years later.

Electric Buggy designed and built by a blacksmith, Volt designed by committee and built by UAW. LMAO

Well I sure wonder if that electric buggy had air conditioning, rear window (not to mention heated), power doors and power seats. Always makes me wonder how much we could improve the mileage of all cars if we gutted them. But no, everybody want comfort. And for free. Or almost for free - there's less and less oil left, no real alternative for it and everybody wants to get it - can't you see the trouble comin'? Best greetings, everybody

Thats the plan is take care of the UAW and i hear all old trucks and cars will be done away with in two to four years and then i guess the replacement will have to be built by the union workers. glen

G.M. spy photo of the new eco - friendly low pollution alternate fuel vehicle. Sources say with the tax credit, buyer incentives and manufacturers rebates the projected cost is $134,983.98. Not available in all states and not for sale in California pending CARB approval.

( taxes, local permits, licensing fees and shovel are not included in price)
