I am absolutely 100% offended and it ain't all right. At the lower left of the home page is a heading, forum filters, so I thought I would see what it consisted of. when I had filtered out forty Craigs list for sale items, and any other items that might be of no personal interest, there had been 3 postings in the last 24 hours. Better still I have a built in personal filter, if something is offensive to me I won't waste time with it. I don't need someone else filtering stuff for me. This correctness attitude is for the birds. The next time someone gets to wondering where somebody is, they may have just gotten tired of the crap.

Ain't nothing a leather strap across the bare ass cheeks won't remedy. If the mother doesn't allow that or bitches because of it; they both need to hit the road. It's better in the long road that way.

ill agree with you rob ive been in that situation before with my current wife. the boy dont want to do anything but what he wants to do which is nothing but that dont work when im arround the wife tried the agreeing with him a couple of times and she didnt like the results when they were out of the house kicking rocks down the road. when they realized that i aint kidding when i tell him to do something everything works a lot better arround the house and she aint so quick to agree with him anymore. my kids have to work here and so does he if they want anything from me.

I was very fortunate in that I never really had to beat any sense into either of my kids. I can only remember once or twice with each of them. A quick hug and offering of support after the punishment would earn the respect deserved, and the infraction never happened again. Maybe I was lucky.

thats the way it should be. but some times when your legs get cut out from under you its hard to do. but things are alot beter now that they know that i mean business when i tell them if they want something they have to work for it. it helps them be more responsible with what they have and they have more pride about what they have. or thats what i hope it does for them. it worked for me growing up i dont have much but i take pride in what i have and so far its rubbing off on the kids (teenagers) but i think they are going to blow their gaskets when they get their presents for christmas. me and the wife have bought them all atvs. and they didnt have to earn them there not new but they will beat walking if they are responsable enough with them and we think they are.

I guess i'm old school,but i subscibe to the "spare the rod,spoil the child" theory,my son knows i dont play around in matters of behavior,education,manners etc. i get so tired of hearing about how "little johhny" cant behave,"acts out",or learn in school because of video games,ADD or some other bullshit,if the parents would take the time to raise their children,and become involved in their day to day activities,there would not be half the crap going on that you read about everyday. My parents were strict with me,instilled values,morals and a good work ethic in me,and wanted better for me then they had it,and theres not many a day that i'm not thankful for that,kids today just fail to see the value in working for a living(or anything),seems they think they are "entitled" and want everything handed to them,not so in my house! guess it comes down to taking resposibility for your actions,aint no free rides.......................................Mark

i still believe in that too. thats how i was raised im glad that my dad wore me out when i didnt mind or just plain wanted to show him i didnt have to. and im glad that him and mom didnt give me or my brother what ever we wanted that we had to work for or twords getting it.nothings quiet as rewarding as knowing that what you have you worked to earn it. (you take better care of it too). my son and daughter are verry protective about their stuff because they had to earn some of it .but my stepson is a little dif his grandpaw gave him everything and for the last 6 years he has had to get things by earning some of it (he didnt like it at first) but for the last couple of years hes coming around. he appreacites the things that are given to him a lot more than he used to (rewards). and im hoping that will do the same later in life when they have to work for a living like it has for me.

I have always wanted a woman that respected herself and others but would not take any crap from others and could stand her ground. That has been hard to find. Also the families have been a problem and stuck their noses where they should not. I've had several father in laws that were whipped and I felt sorry for them. But I could not do anything about it but keep out of the problems. You can sometimes be talking to people about values and make lots of sense but when put to the test you can see many blunders.Most of my inlaws had a son that ruled over them and was very hateful with their parents.Everytime the son was at an event like xmas etc. the son always had the floor with everything and knew more than anyone else. They should have been back handed long ago. They spared the rod Mark. Any way i'll get off my past events. Glad I don't have to be there anymore. I always remembered what a boss told me once. He said Mike, sometimes you have to loose to win. I never forgot him and hope I never do. He has passed away in 2005 and every person he had made contact with liked him as a person. I never heard different. I had great respect for him and he did me to.

I HAVE A COUSIN THAT USED TO WHIP HER MOTHER AND SHE CAME TO LIVE WITH US AND TRIED IT ON MY MOM IT DIDNT WORK OUT TOO GOOD FOR HER. AFTER ME AND MY BROTHER GOT DONE BEATING HER BUTT MOM WHIPED ALL THREE OF US ME AND MY BROTHER GOT IT FOR WHIPING MY COUSIN AND SHE GOT IT FOR SLAPING AND CUSSING MY MOM. BUT IT WAS WORTH IT THOUGH JUST SEEING HER FACE WHEN THAT HEDGE BUSH LIMB WENT TO STRIPING HER. LOL THAT WAS A GOOD TIME IN LIFE.
