As we know, Old Bill has been having some difficulties lately. He told me a while back that he was downsizing- getting rid of some stuff, that is- because he's planning to move from Elliot Lake to Blind River at some point. He asked me if i'd be interested in having any of it and I said "hell yeah, i'd be honored to have anything". He already sent me some pictures, some license plates, a cap, calendars, the carved wooden Peterbilt, etc.

But yesterday when Jo picked me up at the shop she said "you got a great big box from Old Bill". Came home and opened it and found these pictures, in nice frames, not the dollar store frames like I always use.

These pictures are all on his website. The dates on the back of them are 1965 on the B-model picture, 1954 on the cbe KW and Freightliner, and 1970 on the R-model.

That's Bill himself by the Autocar. Neat stuff, eh?

Nice! i sure enjoy seeing stuff like this, especially when there's a what, where, why etc. that goes with them,a part of trucking history for sure. I wish i had more pictures of my familys equipment from the "good ol'days" but, seems nobody took all that many, the few that i do have are all real treasures (to me)............................Mark

I lost boxes when the basement flooded nearly four feet deep several years ago. Those old cellulose photos didn't hold up well to getting wet.
