A driver was stuck in a traffic jam on Highway 95 outside Washington DC. Nothing was moving. Suddenly, a man knocks on the window. The driver rolls down the window and asks the man, "What's going on?"

"Terrorists have kidnapped Congress, and they're asking for a $100

million dollar ransom. Otherwise, they are going to douse them all in

gasoline and set them on fire. We are going from car to car, collecting

donations".

"How much is everyone giving, on average?" the driver asks.

The man replies;

"Roughly a gallon"!

foul that right there offends me rob. only because i didnt come up with it. that was funny but im a little disapointed with the reply from the other people. they should of atleast donated 5gallons but i guess i can see their reasoning with the economy in the shape its in 1 gallon is prob all they can afford. i would be lucky to be able to spare a quart.

I have played with plenty of gas-O-line and matches in my day, it wouldn't take too many gallons to have a fireball. If we could get them to lay still long enough, a couple of gallons atomized over the whole congress should do the trick. Hell, you wouldn't need a lighter, their hot air would set it off.

Would diesel be OK? I don't have any gasoline to give...

Diesel will do just fine, if it does not burn hot e-nuff to hide the evidence, we'll throw on some ol' bald tires and get it going.

Wait! The thought police are everywhere with Obama being in office and all -

So I only say this about the burning of the tire for fun.

I would never burn a tire, that would be wrong.

(But don't come lookin at my burned brush piles after a pitch black night)

I would expect that you can do no wrong out in the country but I can tell you from personal experience a mixture of 26 truck tires ranging in sizes of 10.00X20 through 10.00X22 burn hot when set ablaze in the same pile.

That is the easiest way to get old tires off junk rims!
After burning just a couple at a time and counting on the wind to be a certain direction, we decided to "get it done". We then threw the rims onto the scrap trailer during one of the shop clean up days. Even the steel wiring remaining from the tires went into the scrap heap. Rob

I'd have a tough time taking an EPA officer seriously...same with OSHA, MSHA, or any other bureaucratic agency. If I'm out in the woods on a 4-wheeler, if ya want me, ya gotta catch me. If I'm at the house, you'll be more likely to wind up staring down the barrel of my shotgun than you'll be to see my ID or get even the slightest bit of cooperation once you start trying to tell me what I can or cannot do on my own friggin' property. Unless you're helping me pay my mortgage or my property taxes, you have no say in what I do here....and if ya wanna try, ya best be prepared to meet your maker.

When approaching a 4-way stop, the vehicle with the biggest tires has the right of way!

I was cutting a school bus in half with a chop saw and it caught on fire. Once those seats caught, there was no putting it out - made a black cloud that looked like the tornado in The Wizard of Oz. My mother in law was shopping in Jefferson City thirty miles away and she saw it. Since we already had a big ole fire, I went ahead and threw every old tire in the inferno we had laying around.

The local fire department sent three trucks and wanted to arrest me when I would not let them through the gate. They called every government agency they could dream up but none of them showed. One of them from the Department of Natural Resources called and said they had experienced problems in the past trying to enforce things in my "backwards" county so they tended to concentrate on more "progressive" counties.

I said good deal, isn't that what we want - you guys to stay away? It must be working when we stick to our guns.

One of the local sherriff deputies that got the over-excited fireboys to leave asked if he could bring a few old tires to drop off.
