Being from Harlan County Kentucky, I LOVE me some coal...I brought some back from the last trip home...sometimes I throw it in the fireplace....brings back TONS of memories!

Grandma says when she was a child, a lump of coal was a GOOD thing to get, because it meant you could keep warm for a little while. She and her siblings used to walk the railroad tracks picking up coal that had spilled off the trains to carry home to heat the house....

When approaching a 4-way stop, the vehicle with the biggest tires has the right of way!

aint nothing like coal heat. i remember when i was little i would sleep in front of the combustioner stove. leversole would you believe stoker coal is $125.00 a ton here now and thats at bennits and thats the cheapest place.
