I never used valve stem seals, always replaced the guides and miked the valve stems.

I'm with Miro on this. Push the guides out and ensure the valve stems are in good condition as far as size and wear. I had set of 711 heads rebuilt a few years ago and had the stems and bosses machined for some "Perfect Circle" valve stem seals but I don't know their application ofr if they were generic.

You can get the guides from doing a webste sreach of valves and guides. I have seen them but dont know the name. Mack may still sell them. But i have install many in the years past and they will need reamed. Ream to fit.Even if you get a prefited guide it will need reamed.
