Hello,

I have a CH613 1997 with an injector that has an electric solenoid. The engine is acting up and starts sometimes and at others it doesnt start. I have full fuel pressure to the injector. Usually, when I tap the injector, it starts immediately. I think the solenoid is acting up. Does anyone know if theres a manual override for this solenoid and how to override it if so.

Thanks.

I've not seen a manual override for any of the electronic engines. This problem sounds like the needle and seat electromagnet that actually operates the valve is shot and will need to be replaced. Citing you have fuel charge pressure to the inlet of this valve, and a slight "rap" causes it to actuate, narrows the trouble down quite a bit. The computer after sensing crankshaft rotation pulses, or enables this valve for operation. I'm thinking the problem is isolated from the description.
