convoyduel Posted February 7, 2012 Share Posted February 7, 2012 I'm getting EM codes 3-2 and 3-4 (blinks of the light) on a 2000 E7-300. The EM light only comes on at high RPM's, then goes back out at lower RPM's. There is a slightly noticeable surge when the light goes on or off. Any ideas? Superdog Posted February 7, 2012 Share Posted February 7, 2012 code 3-2 is engine speed sensor,3-4 is engine postion sensor.If you got owners manuals with the trucks you bought,there should be a code list in the back.I had the Mack dealer run off a sheet for me,so whenever Mikey would get a code flash on the Vision,I could tell him what was wrong. Superdog Posted February 7, 2012 Share Posted February 7, 2012 About forgot,he used to get the 3-2 code frequently,it ended up being a bad wire connector,so I'd check that first before you change sensors.
