in the center of my hubs on the front axle of my u model there is a white thing where oil or greace or something like that goes. is there supposed to be a cap over it? i knew on the earlier u models they had caps on the hubs but since mine was made in 1975 i dont think its sopossed to have them, thanks >>Vinny

from your pic it looks like a oil cap. they should have 80-90 w oil in them.just put the same caps back on my brock.

If rubber caps were left off and water got in i would drain and flush old oil out. Use 9o wt. as others said or Lucas Hub Oil. Joe D.

I am a fan of the Lucas hub oil - I have had it slow down a slight leak at the seal.

You are supposed to be able to run with less oil in the hub - I don't know about that.

had a ch the shop replaced a front wheel seal but didnt tighten the oil hub completly oil leaked out on i81 in va. Nother driver gave me partial bottle and tightened cover, drove whole way back to pa with partially filled hub. Stuff works
