On hanks site a fellow mentioned that he worked on an '06 MR that had a 350HP red painted engine with "Renault" cast into the the back of the block. Now only two ideas come into mind: Pre 07 MP7 or left over engine blocks that were originally slated for use in Renaults. If I am correct the Mack E series (E-tech) engines were used in the Renault Premium, Kerax and AE/Magnum and SISU trucks. Perhaps when Volvo took over and replaced the Mack engine with a Volvo engine, Mack used up the remainder of the Renault blocks in their trucks. Or did Renault devlope the E-tech and dumped the leftover blocks in Mack's lap?

Any ideas?
