SOLD!!!!!!!!!!I dont know if anyone on here knows anyone who collects or restores old trucks but if you do pass this one along. Looking to move this pretty quick.

My name is Chris and I am located in East Central Ohio and have been in charge to try to sell this truck.

My boss has had this truck for 20+ years. He bought this from Fairfield TWNSHP up here by me. This truck has always been kept inside and out of bad weather. It was moved into one of his storage units where it has sat for 2.5 years. It was driven in and not started since. It does have a dead battery but does crank over. It also has a bad wheel cylinder so brakes are pretty much shot.

It is a 1952 Mack with a 6 cylinder motor thats stick shift. It has an American fire apparatus body on it. There is no pump on the truck as the fire department took it off. It does have hose reels with hose on them.

We are looking to move this truck pretty quick as its taking space out in our storage buildings and needs to be gone. Here is a few pics best I can do from where its sitting. We would like to get $3,500 for the truck. Also if you need a way to transport it we can haul it to a location but nothing very far away (he owns a trucking company) If you have any offers shoot them over and I will talk to him or more info just message me!

It is an A30H. It is not built on a fire truck chassis. The front mounted pump has been removed. Of course it has hydraulic brakes. If it had air I would be much more excited. I've been doing a lot of thinking about it. It is 26.5 feet long. Sure would take up a lot of room in the pole barn. I would have to put something out to put it in. Probably a 1970 R685 with a bad injector pump.

I might have a picture of that rig with the pump in place. I vaguely remember seeing a front mount pump A model in some pictures I was viewing lately. Now if i can just remember where and when I saw it. I'm sure there were not many front mount A models.

Money, sex, and fire; everybody thinks everyone else is getting more than they are!

You guys are bad influences. My dad and I are going for it on Saturday. Please send me that picture if you find it.

Mike

Good influences - Good not bad when someone decides to buy a Mack!

You will be really pleased driving it home - I can see it already.

I told myself that I was not buying any more firetrucks unless they had some local connection. No chance I am driving that home. It is 500 miles and the brakes don't work.

Brakes are sooooo overrated. I'd get me one of those freon powered horns and drive it home since they are loud enough to get everbody's attention.

Well as you can see truck is offically sold. Thanks Mike hope you guys had a good trip back. Take care of it Earl and Dean hated seeing it leave the parking lot when you guys left but know it was going to a good home!
