David Posted April 20, 2012 Share Posted April 20, 2012 I think the fifth wheel is a "Jif lox" ? The back axle and fifth wheel seperate to become a dolly for pulling doubles. Superdog Posted April 20, 2012 Share Posted April 20, 2012 The 5th wheel I understand.You see that on single axles equipped with a Jifflok add on tag axle.You slid the tractor 5th wheel forward out of the way and used the 5th wheel on the Jifflok.,they were designed to double as a converter dolly for doubles,also. Kinda reminds me of when Felix Unger's wife threw him out and he had all those suitcases and a frying pan.Too bad you didn't get a shot of both rear axles.
