Hit a damn deer Thursday, took out the grille and broke my hood at the hinges.Ran it that way Friday, but couldn't tip the hood, and it looked like shit without a grille,so today we pulled the hood of my '88 with the blown engine and put on till I can get the other hood fixed.Mikey, his friend Jared,my helper Scott,my daughter Lilly and myself got it changed out and all the lights working in a little over an hour.Got new grille parts ordered and Mikey's going to take the other hood to the body shop first thing before he leaves for the week.Sure is good to have extra parts lying around when you need it.post-61-0-57417000-1336963064_thumb.jpgpost-61-0-72058100-1336963127_thumb.jpgpost-61-0-76741200-1336963201_thumb.jpgpost-61-0-29454800-1336963253_thumb.jpg

That sucks. Glad it only needs a hood.

I can see it now, Mike calls in on the radio..........."I need a hood"

Crew chief.."Ok, got one, we'll be ready in 30 minutes".

Mike: Ok, I'm on my way in"

28 minutes later Mike rolls in the driveway and stops in front of the shop and 5 people come rushing out in uniforms with air tools in hand.

Zip, zam, zoowy, zoop, the old hood is off, the new one on and headlights plugged in. The crew then flips the air lines out of the way as Mike jumps off the clutch and rolls out of the driveway again.

Perfect pit stop. LOL!!!
