They set that truck up to haul recycled cement from the leftover concrete that gets dumped out. Its a puddy like material. They liked the truck so much when it was done they didnt want to use it. They figured having that tub body would help the stuff slide out. Great pic though!

They used it enough for my dad to have to change the bell housing in it! :loldude:

The truck was triaxel with a different body. It never saw a load with that setup.

Boy, not a lot of room for a third axle.

When he changed the bell housing they had to take the lift axle off before they could even start anything. He said half of the trans was stuffed in the lift axle.

Alot of the oldtime guys said they ran those horizontal mixers in Bridgeport alot longer than anyone else because of the low bridges in Bridgeport.

That truck didnt see alot of use either. They ran mostly dumptrailers when they bought it. It never had an assigned driver.

Oh....One other B83, I dont what the DMs had for bodys. The bodys are long gone. They're just rolling chassis's now. I never asked about them. Good question........
