Eugene Gasparri ; father and son where sometimes tough when expecting their way. good people still.   their DM was part of a recall on rear brake cams installed backwards from factory. they both stood over my shoulder watching as I removed the axle caps letting me know " we just pulled and painted those rims (yes it was a brand new DM) you best NOT drip oil on rims. not complaining =their trucks looked brand new everyday no matter how old.

I didn't know Mack sold any front discharge around here. they are possibly the only model Mack ('69-75) I never got to drive. remember (somewhat) of seeing one at Bridgeport location.

the Mack HMM front discharge mixers were only made for around 6 years.

the other front discharge mixers were not popular.

Suzio bought 3 but didn't like mid engine mount to heavy on front end didn't get traction off road in hole's and geared to fast mid 80's

Hah.backward cams.  Were those DMs built in the new southern plant.  I remember we had new R models built there that hade all kinds of assembly issues.  Brain fart-what was the name of the town?  So carolina right?

not sure of factory plant. basically the problem was cams were opening against rotation of tire/drums causing  chattering brakes,  believe (memory challenge again) issue was only with front drive axle. solution == pull both front tandems L&R assemblies and swap cams L to R / R to L.

How many yards were those?  Can't believe they gained much with all that weight of the extra axle -or was max allowed higher because of the axle?

They were the 1-st one to have front discharge mixer Riteway brand Suzio bought 2 powered by C-180 Cummings both were repowered i-with 3208 cat other a Donner
