I didn't know the tip turbines were still in use in '88.

DMMs had 4v motors with 2v heads on them. My dad rebuilt the one for Butler above. Tip turbines can only be used with 2v motors so those trucks had different build engines that any other '88 mack didn't have.

Superdog does Butler still have equipment down by the Middletown dump along the river. I think that place may have been from the Herbert Butler days. They used to have a couple of big Mack L's. They were used as pushers for Hallamores M V-16 detroit that brought the replacement transformer into Connecticut Yankee.

I asked my dad and he says there hasn't been any Butler stuff there for years since before they got bought out. Up in back of their yard way in back they have a bunch of old trucks and equipment, they might be up back there.

Heres something i scanned from an old Bulldog Magazine in regards to O&G and DMM's. Also a picture of an ex-O&G DMM Dirtworks Construction from Stratford ran up until 2002 or so

We test drove one years ago it went really slow it didn't work out for us.
