Nice pictures Superdog . Are they dumping in a yard you own? I love the addition to the bottom of the bumper on the red R model, very sharp. The guys down PR run that

thanks. No we are dumping at a local Sand and Gravel company's recycle yard. All of Mr Tietz's trucks are outstanding.

I'm pretty sure Oand G's Bridgeport plant was Silliman Bros. Along with their quarry in Southbury. D' Addario's plant was on Seaview ave, if I remember correctly. When was Telesco taken over by O and G?

The current O&G brideport plant covers 2 propertys. Former Levely & Hurley plant and the bridgeport Hydraulics truck yard property. The old Silliman Bros, plant was between RT8 and North Av. That plant was fun to watch, Rail cars dumped straight down into the hoppers. (feeding both mixing plants) It is now a Autozone and Mcdonalds.

I REALLY enjoy the posts on "Connecticut Construction Trucks" I grew up in Bridgeport in the 70's and 80's. Brings back LOTS of good memories. Thank you, ALL. I have 2 questions for your readers. #1 There are no Pic's of "Mark IV construction" Mack trucks. Manny, Been running Mack's sense the 70's (looking at photos of his driveway fight with the airport) he still has Mack's in his fleet. #2 " David D'Adarrio " Has been quoted in print. HI HO D'Adarrio still has trucks on the road and still has construction interests, But is not D'Addario Industries core business. Haven't seen any new trucks ?

I have seen Mark Iv trucks before but not lately. They were the red and green DMs with the long bodies. As for D'Adarrio i believer they are totally out of the construction business. Now they have the oil company still and i see a 4 door Chevy 8500 or something like that that say D"Adarrio on it pulling a fifth wheel trailer.
