Looks to be an ENDD 864 255 H.P. Rotary injector pump and all. Life long job for parts as I recall.

864 V8. parts are obsolete pretty much. would love to take a B81 and put a modern V8 Mack in it with a 12 speed and air ride. that would be sweet

That is exactly what a sewer contractor did around here a few years ago with a 440V8 Mack and 12 speed. Ran and sounded very good The truck was bright red, very nicely rebuilt from scratch with tastefully done "gold leafing", and chrome for his logo and trim. He pulled a new "Fontain Elite" detach trailer with it. Used to see this several times a year but it suddenly dissappeared? Haven't seen it since.

I certainly wouldn't hide that from you guys. That truck really was nice. I did climb in, and all over it but had no camera with me. Nice guy to talk with and the rebuild was still very fresh. One thing I remember especially well is that the cab floor underside, and firewall was completely "Line-X" covered in red. It really looked well done.

I think I'm gonna take a look at this B81, the town that It's in is only 12mi from me on RT22 ! If It's who I think it is, he's got a lot of other stuff in his yard! What the heck is Line-X?? I've never seen the stuff

Line x is a spray in bedliner type stuff. Not a bad idea if you wanted to leave a floor metal or instead of installing a rubber mat. Just take a hose and clean it out.

The inside of the cab was steel with jute backing under the mat. Only the underside of the floorpan and outside of the firewall were covered in "Line-X" material. The inside was painted the original green.

I agree that it's a B-815. They only made 220 of them. I have one minus the the 864. It's got an e-6 in it now. The radiator, the engine and a few other things look right. I'd love to have a good running V8 back in mine. This one is missing the V8 tags on the hood. All the bad press on the 864 scares me...maybe the later models with the better pump..I'd swap engines if whe's a good runner like mine...no smoke good pressure etc...enjoy
