I bought that one the 2nd year they were on the market in Canada (1st one in my area) Mercedes engines weren't offered until a year or 2 later.

I like Diamond T's too. Way ahead of their time in looks in my opinion, like the Bighorn. They'd be some of the best looking trucks on the road today. Here's one with an added bonus picture of nocluejoe66.

I've never really cared much for the set-back axles. Push that steer tire forward and you'd have a truck....although that bumper looks like it could take a hit or two without breaking a sweat. When did they stop putting bumpers on big trucks? The one on my Mack is pretty tough...but most trucks if you look at the bumper the wrong way, it bends.

When approaching a 4-way stop, the vehicle with the biggest tires has the right of way!

They stopped putting real bumpers on trucks when total weight became more important than overall usefulness. My '54 GMC 2 ton is the first truck I've owned that I didn't have to make a "real" bumper for,and now that it carries a pair of old school "I-beam" forged :mack1: tow hooks,it's up for anything I can aim it at. No worries here!

Been monitoring this post and there are a lot of trucks shown that I like. One of my favorites is the Dodge LCF line of trucks (second pic taken at 2012 Macungie). P.S. and the Dodge White Hat girl ain't bad either! :whistling:

The man I bought my first Harley from had one of those set up to haul his cars to Bonneville each year. He ran a 392 Hemi in it so he'd have a good engine to build as a back up engine for his Studebaker racer if he broke it. (Mid 70's to early 80's) He later built a twin turboed 413 for the hauler, and it was an absolute BEAST! He used to say he didn't actually have to drive to Bonneville-the truck already knew the way there;he was just there to remind the truck to pass cars, not bump 'em outta the way.
