I would grind/sand it out and use a fiberglass repair kit on it. Of course you have the issue of the gell coat then. Unless this crack is in a area where there is no external paint over it. Then the gell coat isnt a issue.

They do make some really really good gluse for fiberglass auto body panels. Napa sells them. Just the problem of finding someone behind the counter that has a clue what they are doing. To tell you witch one would be good for your aplication and what kind of prep work you would have to do to use it.

take it and grind it out. sheetmetal is great for reinforcing fiberglass parts, wood works great too. then use fiberglass resin and fiberglass matt and make your repair. do it in layers. more layers = more strength.
