That would have been one hell of a prize!

Hopefully for 75 large, someone has a plan for it and not a run it 'til you ruin deal.

One thing I have learned is that exported trucks sold in 3rd world countries will be taken good care of. Think about it, you live in a poor country and you need a truck to get work done, do you let it rot or keep it running? They have little money as it is, why would they run it into the ground? Some do let the trucks go to hell but I suspect its because they don't have the skills necessary to repair them and not enough money to hire someone.

Mexico isn't exactly 3rd world compared to some but I suspect this truck isn't going to be beaten to death. 75 large for a truck that powerful is a steal, your looking at well over 500G for something remotely similar, id say closer to a million for something that heavy spec.

Hoffman had a Mack M100SX, sitting in Queens at the moment.

This is the former Corbett Mack M75SX including the trailer it had when it was owned by Corbett. The old Gerosa Mack M75SX is also somewhere in South America.

As fare as I know all three were once together at Mashburn.

From the informations I got both M75SX had a Cummins VTA1710.

what engine did it have.

Here is the basics on the 3 axle M series power plant options, All could be had as either a prime mover or a dump. There were a few M-45SX bed trucks that went to the North Slope oil field in Alaska. I saw one up close 15 years ago, just massive.

The Hoffman was a M-100SXT with a DDC 12V-149TT.

The M-75SX & M-70SX could be had with the DDC 16V-71TT or the Cummins VT-1710 (Gerosa, Mashburn)

The M-45SX could have DDC 12V-71TT, the Cummins VT-1710, later production units had a option of the Cummins KTA-600 (Gerosa, Hallamore, Premay, Mammoet...)

the M-32SX, either a Mack ENDT-866, DDC-12-71 or 8V-71T, Cummins KTA-450 or NTA-370

the M-15SX choises included Mack ENDT-866, END-866, Cummins NTA-370 & DDC 8V-71

We can get into the 2 axle versions of the M series if you like....

The trailer went for $90,000 it went to ST Louis MO,it was not the traile that Corbett had with the M75.The Gerosa M75 went to Venezuela and that I am sure of talked to Charlie Mashburn and thats what he told me.Mashburn did have the Gerosa M 75,Corbett m 75 and the Hoffman M 100 at the smae time.Here are a few more pics of the M 75

Are you sure it is not the orginal trailer Corbett had. I've got two pictures showing the M75 in Corbett livery with trailer. The pictures are not the best, but it clearly shows a trailer very similar (I would even say it is the same trailer) to the one it got now. Even some details are the same. As example the vin/maunfacturer tag is on the same position. I don't have the copyright of these pictures so I can't show them, but I know I found them on the internet.

Was there ever a salesheet of the M100SX published? I still planing to build a scale model, but I've got no reliable and useful information about this truck.

When we went up at the auction I think the M75 was a 1972 and the trailer was a 1975 or the other way around.Also I was talking to the owner 2 days before the auction,and he told me that he bought the trailer from Duncan in KY.I belive I have the same pics you have of when it was Corbetts truck and yes it does look the same,but that is what the owner told me,

DOUBLE UGLY did not go to Mexico, it's currently in Oklahoma and being used. Here are a few pictures of a recent load it pulled in Texas. The trailer it came with in the auction has since been resold and is now with Deep South Crane and Rigging in Houston
