Do any of you have an extra Farr air cleaner off an R model laying around that you could part with??

The one on my RS700 is rotted out and I want to keep it with the Farr air cleaner. I could have it fixed but that is plan B. I would much rather find a good one that needs minor work if possible. I really just need the shell at the very least but I would take one as a whole. I know tit's a tall order but threre it is.

Thanks for any help on the matter,Josh :bulldog3::SMOKIE-LFT:

Is it R specific or universal to all? I think I have one off an Autocar. If its a fits all I can go look to see how it faired in the fire. Paul

I am working on one from an R model for you. They are pretty much generic in housing but the mounts differ. Are your's sturdy yet?

That would be great Rob. The whole bottom and part of the sides of mine are rotted out but the mounts are still in good shape. As far as I know they're all pretty much the same. I have seen some that are bigger and some that are smaller but they were usually used on say a cabover or a heavy haul truck just for a few examples.

i've been around Farr air cleaners for a lot of years. They are probably still the least restrictive of any out there but also the loudest as they offer virtually no sound attenuation. All of the Detroit gensets I've maintained were specified with a Farr air cleaner.

I'll keep you posted on the one I'm working on. What are the external dimensions to the box portion you have?
