I went to an auction about 8 years ago and there was a very early DM815 that was hydraulic brakes all the way around. Caught me off guard because you just don't expect to see a set up that way. Belonged to a family that was involved with house moving.

It doesn't cost anything to pay attention.

I assume air over hydraulic brakes? An odd setup for an american truck, popular on European trucks like early Renault trucks sold here by Mack.

What America needs is less bull and more Bulldog!

You know I just remembered that Mack had air-over-hydraulic wedge brakes on some of their 80,000 rears. The hydraulic brakes might have been heavy wedge brakes.

This was a common thing with mack and also ford had the same set up on the 20000 axles. I have never understood the purpose of this.

Cool. Maybe I have a 20000# front axle, and 44000# rears. Good truck. Thanks y'all!
