Anybody got any input on favorite brands of pintle hitch trailers in the 20 to 25 ton range? I looked at a few, Kaufman, Winston, and a few others. I plan on getting a new one, would welcome some opinions. randyp

I've looked at a few and Dynaweld seems to be about the heaviest I've seen. Eager Beaver has nice ones too.

for a tag trailer I like Eager Beavers

I liked theirs too but the pricing scared me. It could have been the dealer too but much to rich for me.

I just went and looked at the eager beavers. Its a good looking trailer. I may call tommorrow and check price and also see if i can change a few things. I need steel cleated ramps and dovetail. When i bought the Kaufman drop deck I have, they changed that for me. The spring assist ramps are essential also. Thanks gentlemen,,,randyp

I run a tri-axle 25 ton eager beaver with the power assist ramps, what a dream now that I'm getting older and wiser. I picked mine up from E-bay( actually bought it from the seller when it didn't sell) Paid $15,000 plus 2 grand to ship it from Florida to Pa. Half the price of a new one and at that time it was only 5 years old. Mine also has the longer deck which is 25' of flat plus 6' beaver tail.

Live every day like it's your last, because one of these days, it will be.

I always thought tags were a hand job. Always running at half the speed limit and take way too long to hook up when your working by your self.

Once you get used to them they are not bad if you are running a dump truck. With a tractor or straight truck, I would rather have a 5th wheel, or gooseneck setup.
