Wow that's a lot more then I was expecting considering a Corvette cost around $9,000 in 75

I don't remember what brought up the subject. It's possible my Dad was asking for a raise and the price was the result of "spontaneous inflation".

Old guy here- I remember I bought a bunch of 1972 LN-9000 Ford tractors. 12/23, 6-71, RT-910, custom cabs, no a/c and cast wheels-typical fleet trucks-around $16,000! I think we were buying Maxidyne tandem tractors in those days for high thirties-again-no frills, 12/38's no a/c etc.

Then again now that I am thinking about it, the rate of inflation with the cost of a new truck, I think the ratio is about the same. Well, except some Corvettes are $50-80k now.
