1972 IH 1310 AWD, 304 V8, 4 speed with a body by Oren. The rig has 10,500 original miles, about 250 miles per year, and is in pretty good overall condition. It was purchased by the State of Maryland for the Springfield State Hospital.

The interior is spotless, it runs great, and I think it has a classic fire truck look that most mini-pumpers lack. The pump and PTO work great and the chrome is in excellent condition as well.

On the bad side there is some rust in the rear fenders and the undercarriage, a dent in the back of the cab, and it has a leaky wheel cylinder. I plan on removing the fire body so I can sand blast and paint the undercarriage, replace the entire brake system, and re-wire anything that needs it.

I also need to find a set of ladders for it and place the equipment that was removed from it back on it.

Sweet!!! I had a '72 1210 as my first truck!! Always thought those lil binders were very "truckly" looking. Them ol 345/392's would pass everything but a gas station!!!!

What a difference 29 yrs makes........... (you can see the township markings painted over)

The front brakes were non functioning when I bough it. Clutch was toast too. Don't get much for $150.

Nice! quite a few I.H. trucks like that on the North Fork still doing farm duty as pick ups and Rack Bodies. One of the nicest I.H. designs. Paul

Friend had a 3/4 ton 4wd stepside that was red. 392/4spd. Got burnt up in a garage fire. Growing up his dad had a few Travelalls. I think 66? then a '72. I remember a road trip to PA in the '72 back after I met him.

One of the reasons I went for this one was my Dad was a big IH Travelall fan in the sixties and early seventies. My uncle also had a 71or 72 1310 that he placed a big slide in camper on to take his 6 kids on a cross country camping trip. I always did like the early 70's corn binders.

I missed this one on Ebay a while back 1973 with I.H. 8 track and matching horse trailer. It went way over my $9000 bid limit. I figured I get some back selling the trailer. Paul

I think IH did a great job in designing passenger vehicles considering that wasn't their niche. This style and it's predecessor (the change was done around 1970?) were as stylish as any of the competition at the time.

That's damn cool. I missed out on an IH tow truck like that two years ago. It was a police truck used in some small town for wrecks. Had 42k original miles with a Holmes 480 body and a 401 under the hood.

You got a clean unit. Good luck with it.

That green one is a duplicate of what they had(not including the horse trailer). I have a picture of it somewhere, all loaded down with junk coming back from PA.
