I am looking to possibly change the engine in my 58 B61. It is the original END673 with a 10 speed Duplex. Engine is a bit tired, runs ok but lots of blowby, and it looks like some of the parts like the old 18 bolt head gaskets and pistons are a bit hard to find or I would just rebuild it myself. I have been reading all the info I can find on here on the swap, think I have a good idea of whats involved in swapping to a ENDT675. I have found an engine out of an older 60's MB600, wondering if there is any difference being its out of a cabover? Turbo location possibly? Any advice would be appreciated. Or if anyone knows of a parts source for the old Thermodyne that would help, would go threw the motor if I have all the parts I might need located.

Thanks

All I can say is a quote from my dad: "With a cuttin' torch and a mig welder, anything can be done." Personally, if I'm fixing to swap an engine into something, it's gonna have two strokes. Just saying.

Ben

Except splicing frame rails together.....def SMAW (stick) not mig.
