WANT TO BUY wanted quad box for rd 600

Quad box won't handle the torque.

Yea a quad will be to fragile with an e7. They are twin countershaft and can only take about 750ftlbs of torque. Your e7 will have about 1300 ....way to much power for the quad if it's a work truck..

hmmmm, thats why i ask questions. i drove an r model with 5sp auto and quad box last week that gave me the idea. maybe 13 or 18 speed? how much overdrive do they have? ray

Are you saying it had an auto trans with a quad behind it...LOL never heard of that tried before????

Here are some options that will work great with that engine.

12 speed mack

9 speed mack

13 speed mack

Eaton 8LL

eaton fuller 13 speed

but....we need to know 2 things

1)what rear end ratio do you have now?

2)is that EM7 a "low rpm" engine?

All the transmissions I listed have diffrent over drive and first gear ratios. Going fast is easy to do... going fast and being able to pull a load thru thick clay in a low gear is where proper gearing vs RPM is key. without knowing your rear end ratio and max RPM im just shoting in the dark.

But we can help, just get us those 2 questions answered and we can go from there..

pretty sure he means a 4 speed auxillary NOT a quadbox. 5 speed auto with a 4 speed auxillary woud be common and would probably work for him as long as he had the right one.

thanks for info so far, 5.03 rears runs nice up to 65 mph, thats plenty fast for top heavy tree spade. it needs the 3 low hole speeds off road or simular.

rpm's pulls to 1600-1800 nicely

major drop between road gears, annoying. has .6 overdrive

oh, a 4 sp aux is not a quad box. yes a 5sp auto with aux trans would be welcome. jamming gears off road to move inches when digging trees is a pain. ray
