E9V8 Posted August 24, 2012 Share Posted August 24, 2012 They look like painted caps for the drive axles to me.One of the R models I used to drive had clips that bolted to 3 of the 6 bolts on the hub cap, then the chrome hubcap snapped on to those clips.I don't know if the clips were homegrown or store-bought, but I thought it looked stupid and took them off.
