I had picked up a couple nice shift knobs a while back and never gave it much thought until I realized the levers were 7/16 and the knobs are 1/2 inch.Before I get excited and cobb something up I thought Id ask you how to do it... Maybe a helicoil ??? or some type of insert before I break out the old welder...Jim

agree with above, you can buy the inserts to match your thread pattern, if the insert is not available the make adapters that are about 2 inches long with one thread on each end(one male, one female) search evilbay or go to a hot rod shop/custom auto parts store you will find it.
