yarnall Posted September 7, 2012 Share Posted September 7, 2012 I went to the notary today to change some titles on things I sold and asked about the use of period license plates on antique vehicles. I knew the law was passed, but did not know when it took affect. It is in affect now. You can use an old license plate in good condition for the same year as the vehicle to license a vehicle in the years 1909 or so to 1975. That is not the big new though. The big news, for those who do not know it, is that you are no longer required to submit pictures of the vehicle to get antique license. That means you do not need to cover up any lettering, gold leave, rust... It was like christmas for me. Here are before and after pictures of what I had to do to my F model to get license. BOB DINGSDALE Posted September 7, 2012 Share Posted September 7, 2012 I know Washington state has that licence plate law.I think my friend had to display his on the rear.He also had the same year only different number on the front.I don't remember if it was the front or rear that it was registered to.Wish they had that law here. BOB DINGSDALE Posted September 9, 2012 Share Posted September 9, 2012 I was lucky.My brother a house with a garage that had a whole lot of B C plates .One mint set was for 1948 which is vintage of my EQSW.Number on plate reads-- K9-486 and green with white letters.but we can't register it with them here in B C .
