when removing the wheels there were differend wheelclambs left and right.

them my spinghangers from the rear springs are all rusted to peaces.

got some photo`s i`ll try to post.

Oh hell, I see rivets.

I both like and hate them.

How do you plan to built up towing part?

Whole the truck seemed to me a bit ugly at Utrecht.

Maybe because of not bright color or too massive rear end.

i bought a b61sx as a spare truck.i needed the fenders and some more sheetmetal.

but it has camelback rears so i can`t use the parts for my single axle towtruck.

The sand-colored one, was for sale in Holland ??

What is the kind of rear gears?

I'm looking strongly for early pair with not too low reduction.

Yes guys, you must to smile about owerseas part adventures :) .

I looked trough last year's Utrecht shots.

Need to say, I like how looks your shot wheelbase wrecker B. Just excepting front bumper.

About reduction - look also do propeller shafts have flanges, or just a U joint comes out of a gear housing.

Maddog;

Are you referring to the one with dual winches? If so i picked it up and it is now located in Ohio and is scheduled for restoration. lots of power and winches work very well.

maddog;

Yes the unit was purchased from Dennis. Picked it up this past September. B62sx with a diesel 673 - was Triboro bridge/tunnel unit.

think were talkin two diff trucks. the one that got sent to holland use to be in Cairo ny and was a Ny/Nj tunnel rescue wrecker. the rear end was right behind the cab pretty much so they could turn around in the tunnels with it. it was a B61 . def not a heavy B62sx

i don`d think so.

but it could be posible.

they had to shorten the frame so did have to weld on it.

but they strengthen the frame on the outsite and welded al the parts from the wrecker body to it.

so i was two days bussy with a torch to get it all apart.

try to put some photo`s of me working on it.

that thing definately has an L model full floating rear end with the big hubcaps. the L models had a more 'fancy' lookin hub than a B model. the B models were smoother and didnt have the 'design' on the spokes. also definately had L model springs and hangers with the rubber mounted ends on them.Slso has the U bolts that were flat on top where it went around the spring which were L model unique. So your gonna fix it back up as a wrecker i hope????
