Allentown-based Air Products took delivery of a fleet of 350 horsepower 8V92-powered R-626ST tractors from the Allentown factory branch (around 1980 if I recall correctly). I looked them over while they were being prepped for delivery.

I sure wish I could find a breakdown on the Hayward built trucks as I'm sure there were way more Detroit powered trucks.I remember several years ago on Ebay I was bidding on a FS781T,factory powered by a 6-71.They also offered the 6V53 in RL/RS400's.

It would also be nice to know if there were any 12V71's put in the FL/FS.It was a listed option, but never ever seen one, pics or in the flesh. They made several FL/FS with the 8V71.They made 1157 regular F models with 8V71's and 23 with 8V71T's,and 75 with 6V92's.

Yes they had F model with 12V?? if you look in the Bulldog magazine of that time one company of Montreal Qc had one.

they we're hauling brick. Qith the salt they use on the Quebec road, don't even think about finding that F model alive...

Here is the breakdown for 1M2N143Y8EA001261:
