This same story was also on Michael Savage's page. I would be hammer-down heading back to Alabama if it were me...

Our (this time your) life is full enough of politic.

Politic is not a problem when it doesn't disturb people's life.

As far as always does.

oh my god,,,whata buncha horseshit,,,you know i used to be a teamster,,,and wish i still was,,,and im still a firm believer,,,but no no no this is not gonna fly,,,but it does sound like another obambi stunt.bob

I was a member of the Painters and Allied Trades for 11 years and still feel there is a necessity for labor unions in this country, but these idiots are digging their own grave. If Chris Christy and Barack Obama can put their differences aside and work together in the recovery effort, there's no reason those jackoff's shouldn't welcome the help they need in any way, shape, or form for the sake of the people they were hired to serve and who pay their salaries.

Unfuckinbelievable.

http://jobs.aol.com/articles/2012/11/03/union-red-tape-in-n-j-causes-alabama-recovery-crew-to-head-home/

According to the IBEW and Gov. Christie what was first reported was not the case

"But union officials completely deny that there was any such condition. "It is the policy of this union and the companies we represent to welcome assistance during major natural disasters -- regardless of union status," Jim Spellane, spokesman for the national office of the IBEW said in a statement. Gov. Christie said the Alabama crew got "bad information" and that non-union crews are welcomed in the recovery effort, according to The Associated Press. Jersey Central Power & Light, the New Jersey utility which provides power to Seaside Heights, is using non-union crews to help restore power."

Everything I have read online was this was just a bad rumor and was total bullshit to create an Internet buzz. I see power companies from all over the place around here. No one is stopping any crew from working.

Just like I heard a house floated down the bay and took out the bridge. Half truth. A house did come by the bridge but it never damaged it. That rumor started within an hour of daylight the next day. All Bs.

That's good to hear. 8 of my 11 years in union construction were in NYC, I found that story believable based on my experience.

I'm impressed with his no nonsense attitude and hope he runs for President in '16. I don't think I can stomach another Romney campaign.

I am not a fan of my union but the way our contract is written I cant do shit about it and had no sy in which union I went into, there are 3 that cover employees in my craft and the AIM iss the main one and the one that negotiates our contract thats where I wanted to be but I got fucked and dumped into the SMWIA sheet metal workers and my job title is machinist,WTF? oh and my dues are $20 a month higher than the IAM and my union doesnt even negotiate the contract I work under, the best part the one that really freakin kills me inside every time my dues get deducted is I live in Bell Buckle TN and my union local is in Selkirk NY, WTF!!!!!!!
