Mack F 600 finds a new Home

The Mack 1985 MH 612 put on 477 miles yesterday picking up the 1966 Mack F600T. Thanks to Mack MHE9 for taking the picture and posting the F600T and providing the contact info for the seller.

We had a few challenges getting it on the low boy (broken air lines, cab not locked , ice on the roadway etc.) but after a little determined effort we did get it loaded up and made our way back home. The F600T now happily resides with CF600 and should make it to Macungie or Lititiz next year!

Jeff,

I did not tilt the cab to see the engine up close, what I heard from CF600 was it is a F609T 673 duplex single axle.

With some fresh diesel and a battery it started right up, air brakes worked and drove it up the street and parked it for the day.

It has a Nevada title so it is an eastern built Mack with Dayton wheels but must have spent most of its life in Nevada and California, so doesn't have the typical F Model rust.

That looks like my old Mack, but mine had the Thermodyne and a Triplex.  I was pretty handy with that gearbox, and blew many a 350 Cummins off on a grade.  We had an F700 with the Thrrmodyne V8 and s Duplex, too.  Good old trucks, but somewhat lacking in driver comfort.
