I tried to get the Camaro from him, and I am going to continue to try to get it until he dies, or sells it to me, he said its been in that barn for about 20yrs.

Well.....what about the most important stuff like R Model and SuperLiner goodies inwhich you guys need parts from?Glad you guys had fun.

I might have found a transmission, he had a15spd with flipped gears so it would be a .62 OD I might shoot him an offer Im still trying to make up my mind, he had Tons of Cummins NTC stuff and knows them well, had a nearly new Cummins small cam on a stand it was a pump for a fire sprinkler system, had 280hrs on it. I think Staxx is gonna buy all the B models and line em up at his place, I might steal that red and white tandem B61.

I'm a numbers nerd, please indulge me.

Was it already an OD transmission to get such a fast top gear? I'm curious as to what the 9th ratio would be as a result.

yes it was an rto I2515 that makes .74 or .79 in OD, with the front gears flipped it makes it more like .64 or .62 in high and moves std od down one gear to 8th, so 1.0 in 7th, .74/.79 in 8th, .64/.62 in 9th. I cant rmember if an rto 15 spd has .74 or .79 od it could be either depending on model.

god is that a teazer. pretty much rust free B models. nothin like the junk we get left with up here in Ny state and wtf would someone let that Camaro sit for 20 years??? why not enjoy it. always wanted one, have an 86 Iroc Z28 with tpi never seen winter but would love to get my hands on a 67 Camaro someday. dunno, everyone has a 69 and i kinda prefer the 67-68's a little better

I am pondering adding an OD back box to my RTX 14609B to make a .62 OD but I would have to change the counter shafts in the back box to match the OD trans, the OD back box is a direct bolt up for a direct trans and the under drive back box is a direct bolt up for the OD trans, so you have to change the shaft to match the OD box to the OD trans I have the p/n's somewhere here in a book.

Thanks. I think the RTO-915 had a .81 OD and that the 12515 would be the same.

B models look in a good shape, that van with the tree is avesome!

What the old Mack gasser is in betveen the Camaro pics?

It looks to me not from a fire truck, has single ignition.

I agree,i like the 67's 68's much better than the 69's,but its a real shame to let a car like that just sit and rot!................................................Mark

Sucks to see it there but it is a barn find I have found 10 barn finds in my life this is 11 and have not been able to buy any of them .

I know the feeling! not far from here is a 66 GTO convertible,389 Tri-power (carbs missing) 4-speed,factory triple black,i have asked several times, always get the "no,daddies had that ol'car for years,he gonna restore it someday"...........a damn shame, cause another few years sitting in a barn, its gonna be too far gone to bring back.....................................Mark
