rsb502 Posted December 7, 2012 Share Posted December 7, 2012 I guess I might have to sell my Superliner and my pickup truck just to cover the difference in my income after this tax hike were looking at,Im single no kids and have made $75000 as of11/23 and paid in $20500 in taxes, if the numbers are right my taxes will go up $3000 a year I dont think I cant keep paying this crap I would be better off to quit my job and get on the govt check at the end of the year. Maddog13407 Posted December 7, 2012 Share Posted December 7, 2012 yup, go on welfare, get a free phone, free health care, free car rides, they even have a bus called the MAX in our county that picks u up for free and takes you shopping or to doc appointments. also might get free cable tv and rent, qualify for heap and food stamps and not have to get up early everyday for work. ah the life. i work everyday, 7 days a week. was sick for over a month, finally culdnt take it and went to the er. has 7 different people ask me the same questions, think i got a bill for all of them, i make too much money to get my medical bill paid and dont qualify for good insurance cause my better half and i arent married. 2 hrs in the Er, they sent me a $3000 bill that I had to pay out of pocket cause they consider me to make TOO much money. what a load of bs Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
rsb502 Posted December 7, 2012 Author Share Posted December 7, 2012 The medical and the retirement are the only real reasons I wanted to work for the Railroad my health insurance is 198/mo and I had hernia surgery all the pre surgery visits and the checkup only cost me $60 for everything, the retirement pays out over double social security but we pay in 11% instead of the ss 7%. I will quit and be cruising the Superliner within a week of them telling me either is going to be taken away and Paul Ryan is tring to get our retirement now and put us at the equivalent payout of social security but increase our pay in to 13%, mo___r fu__ers! Told my people that we will know Monday if we a company or not. Taxes, increased utility costs, fuel, insurance...seem I work just to pay taxes. I am a middle of the road republican- I do believe that the wealthy should be paying more in taxes and that loopholes should close. But I also believe that there are too many Gubmint handouts that need to be shut down or limited- drug testing for anyone on welfare and if you show hot for anything you dont have a prescription for- yer done. They are going to keep exactly what they are used to keeping...and if they need to cut a few jobs and demand more productivity from a smaller work force in order to accomplish that, it is what they are going to do. So then those people who lost their jobs will be added to the ranks of the unemployed and they'll start receiving their handout. Welfare payments go up. Tax revenues decline because the number of tax-roll drop-outs and the contributions they WOULD have made if they had remained employed outpaces the "extra" taxes demanded of the "rich".When the top 10% are paying nearly 50% of the taxes collected, how can anyone claim they aren't paying their "fair share"? Especially when 47% of people don't pay anything...or worse yet, are on the receiving end of a government handout. THOSE people ought to be asked to pay THEIR "fair share".The problem with taxes stems from the fact that the tax code is so long and complex that NOBODY fully understands it. There were 4543 words in the original US Constitution. That is all that was necessary to establish the greatest country in the world. Why does the US Tax Code have 73,608 PAGES?Something needs to be done. Scrap the whole damn thing and go to a flat tax or the fairtax or ANYTHING that the average ordinary person can understand. It shouldn't take you 3 hours just to download the friggin tax forms that you'll need to fill out every year....and then another 3 days to get them filled out.
