Nice looking trucks.

The pictures don't represent new shoes/drums/s-cams etc you spent $$$ for though.

Ask you shall receive lol

I even made a video of it in the shop that day

Slow and Steady Wins the Race!

Yes they are. The one i currently haul with is from 1980 and my dad bought for 3000 in year 2000 and had it rebuilt completly for around 20000, i bought the trailer 3 years ago, it still has the original floor and i put an 1/8 inch steel floor in it

I gotcha. I'm about to swap 3 loads of gravel to a farmer for a '79 model steel fruehauf that looks just like yours. Some of the curved ribs are rotted out at the bottom, but the floor is straight as can be. I don't think it ever hauled anything but beans and a load of gravel here and there.

Nice trucks. As for the nice people part we are just nice to newbies. After 200 posts it is "open season". :whistling: Just kidding...welcome and enjoy the craziness.

Well it's a project. Probably hasn't been pulled in five years or more. We settled on $1800 or 3 loads of sb2 delivered.

Did you say it was an "R 300" ? I heard of an R 400, but never a 300. Does it have a smaller engine ?

Mike the truck pictured with the western hood was my old truck. Nothing wrong with it. Just decided to try another business and when i got back in, knew i wanted an R and not a CH. Not sure why i didnt want air ride but thats what i chose.

The older one had a smaller engine and blew black if i hammered it. I had it perfected to whenever i shifted i would ease into the throttle and then after 3 seconds floor it, and it would get no smoke. It was a 300 horse E6 4V. Redlined at 2300

Current one goes to 1800 and makes 31 psi

Sounds like you gave it just enough time to build boost to keep the excess fuel from being wasted(smoke), the E7 350 should treat you good I have run a few of em and never had any major issues. I do love an R model too, I have run several tri axle R's always wanted to try an R with a dump trailer but ended up with an RW and a CH, take care of it looks like a great work truck.

Great looking trucks! Now get a damn Q-Tip and clean those lights between the speedo and tach.
