Saw this Mack with an offset cab...but it's probably a DM.

The big green thing-

Some old units-

Some newer units-

The big red forklift-

The forklift inspector was on the scene too.

Did the big red forklift have anything to do with the blown steer tire?

Glad to see you had it under control to get to side of road.

No almost nekkid wimmins?

I bet that lady next to the forklift could blow something!

It is winter so the wimmin are wearing a few extra clothes to keep warm.

BTW, nice pics OD Tom.

We didn't fall off the turnip truck yesterday! :tease:

Now I believe you saw this one...but still don't undertand why you don't stop, pick them up, and "warm" your their bones.

Wow, that's quite a blow job. Good thing you had a small load.

Tom, are the old units parked at your shop, Mark?

No Stan, the old Ford truck is sitting on rt. 460 between Petersburg and Disputanta, just west of the Food Lion distribution center.

The newer unit picture and the forklift are at our shop.

Those guardrails come up awful fast with the right front down! It would make you drop your camera and swallow your cigar, too!

Tim

yep, I was in the left lane about half way across the bridge over the Greenbrier River when it blew, just west of White Sulphur Spings,W.V.

How old was the tire? Did you run over something? Did you have to change your shorts too?

That tire had 30,000 miles on it, B.F. Goodrich. I did not see or feel anything that I might have run over, it didn't have any noticable pull to the right or anything before it blew, like it was leaking down slow. I told Jeff I could have run over something and didn't feel it, the wind was blowing so hard I was all over the place anyway.

It wasn't too bad, I knew right away what it was- it sounded like it was gonna beat the fender off before I got stopped, but it didn't hurt anything. But, like I said, if i'd had a load of that treated lumber on it might have been a different story. All I had was 4 wooden crates and 2 pallets, 6200 lbs.

I liked driving that stretch of 460 out to Suffolk more than anything west of Richmond.

Glad you had it under control and not end up across the median or over the bridge. Seen a guy when i headed over to Walcott to get the truck greased lost the whole left wheel assembly. He got off the road upright but I bet it was 1 hell of a ride. Wheel was leaning against the cables on the west bound side.

I don't know what he's got loaded on that A-car, but i'm guessing he's about 49,542 lbs. and 14 ounces over gross.
