Originally 1 of 2 identical rigs ordered by Bay Shore. This went to Valatie, near Albany. Now Westbury's. My dad (RIP) used to drive this rig.

Sorry about your Dad.

I thought that was the Westbury B model that I would see in the late 60's, but Westbury owns it now?

Wasn't aware of Westbury having a B. I don't recall seeing too many B's on Long Island with no doors. Bay Shore's HQ was kind of low so roofs were out , I was told. Both rigs had seats over the hosebed, however the other B 's seats were removed. Looking on the compartment door next to pump panel, the word "Penataquit" was over the "Hose Co. 1" still on it. I was told Valatie replaced the 500 tank with 1000.

And thanks for the condolences. Wouldn't be a fireman today if it wasn't for him. If only he fixed Macks.....lolol

If it ain't a Mack, it ain't Jack!!!!!! :)

I'm a truck driver today because my Dad was a truck driver. :)

I'm not 100% sure about the doors. I thought it had the usual B model 1/2 doors but when I saw that truck in the video, I assumed it was the one from my childhood. Maybe it isn't, that was an awfully long time ago.
