Maddog13407 Posted March 17, 2014 Share Posted March 17, 2014 that truck originally was bought from Nj and had a tow body on it, somehow ended up in Dallas Tx. it had an excellent cab and frame and budds and a power tower I think? someone cobbled that 707 in it out of a firetruck tho. Former local excavation contractor. They had LJ's, their low bed tractors were B61X, DM 800 Cummins powered, this R686, and this A 64 Autocar. The R model did dump trailer work, moved TD 25's, D 8's, 988's you name it, here with a Link-Belt I rented for a while. Macks gave good service to this outfit. [/quote Nope, older 50 ton, main beams 1" flanges plus plate on bottom, heavy duty axles with walking beams. With the deck to short, 10ft. wide , only 2 axles not suitable today, but saw it just a year ago. Not exactly a construction truck but it was a Mass truck.
