Nice trucks that you almost never see on the east coast.

Someone posted earlier that Hendrickson was building fire apparatus. That is partially correct; they were a big player in the fire apparatus chassis business, but as far as I know they never built the entire truck.

Money, sex, and fire; everybody thinks everyone else is getting more than they are!

My cousin Eddie Hodges was a broker for Elmhurst Chicago Stone Co.. As a kid, he had BD model Hendrickson's both diesel and gas jobs back in the 1960's. Then in the 1970's, he had the H models with the 190 Cummis with the 5 and 4 transmissions. They also had the H models with 6x6 conversions, that sat up higher than a normal 6x6. Meyer material, as well as John Aue Trucking, also had Hendrickson mixers. Mohr Redi Mix out of Oak Park still runs a couple of 1960 BD's hauling concrete .My cousin also had a couple of Hendrickson Bd's pulling semi dumps. I learned how to drive truck on the H models, going with My dad.

naw that's not a Volvo seat that's a 64 ford superduty bucket seat or at least it was the rule on my first job off the ranch, every mixer truck at Tonasket ready mix had that passenger seat also doubled as a tool box and a trash can. Great pics of the trucks never seen one out west here but can defnently see the ih influence also some reo. and diamond t. ih musta traded cabs for drive train parts lol
