jaysm35a2 Posted January 27, 2013 Share Posted January 27, 2013 Now I was thinking of yall on our trip to UT and posting some pictures.A drag line , this thing was the biggest I have ever seen , and it was working hard and made the D11 that was pushiung dirt took like a clown carA B model Mack I saw FS on the side of the road in WY , I need help with this one. 10sp Direct drive duplex, double frame . Does the rear end look correct? Double frame from cab to rear and why is the strip accross the back of the top of the cab? I started at Clark in 2001,and allthough i no longer do shows,this is what i did when i started up until about 3 years ago,only reason i'm not still touring is my tractor is "too old" but i am still leased tp them,only now i just run under their authority,and lease my trailer from them. Popular Post randyp Posted January 27, 2013 Popular Post Share Posted January 27, 2013 Hmm,,looks like george crooked, I dropped my monitor trying to turn it upsides down to look at pictures, spilt my cheerios, still all good pics though. Other Dog gets hero of week award for fixin them too. Back in my old coal mining days, I had to do a lots of pushing round one them giant draglines, building walkways for it and such. You have to stay in close radio contact with operator all the time, as he cant stop swinging very fast. Best practice is stay out of his boom radius, but there were times when you had to "get up in there close and personal". The scariest time was when you had to drive off the face of the cut, go down in pit and push his tailings up closer to him. If you pissed the operator off, he wouldnt give you much "face cut" to drive off of. It required gathering all dirt you could in front of your blade, and driving straight off cut, hoping you dint run outta dirt or hit a giant boulder fore you found bottom. I have heard George Strait is top-shelf people. I got to meet two country stars- John Michael Montgomery and Trace Adkins. Met both of them when I was a Federal Firefightrer at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md. They were there to do shows for the US Army WMR Summer Comcert Series. The Fire Dept (of course) always had exclusive backstage access- have to check those fire extinguishers and paths of egress ya know.....JMM was coming offstage after doing his set, shook our hands and invited us into his area, but he was very busy doing celebrity things, but his people were very cordial and gave us t-shirts and pre-signed CD's. Another show a few years later we had the pumper parked out back next to Trace Adkins's bus. It was a few hours before showtime. TA came outside from the recreation building where he was doing a meet-and-greet. We were caught with our pants down, didnt know he was "around and about" and we were just in our work uniforms (pants/t-shirts) and not our dress blouses which we should have had on (had we known.) He comes right over to us and greets us all like old buddies and asks if he could get some pics with us and the pumper. His photographer took some shots of him and us, and him in the driver seat. He signed the sun visor of the driver seat, too. He wanted a tour of the rig, so we showed him everything, inside all the compartments, the tools, etc. He asked some really good questions, and even tried on an air pack. Down to earth guy, big, too- about 6'3". Spent about a half hour with us, then excused himself. 5 mins later he re-appeared from the bus holding a case of cold cokes- he says "I'm pretty sure you guys cant have the case of what I was GONNA give ya, but I dont think anyone would mind you having these!" That would be my fault- I turned the pictures right side up, but I didn't notice until I enlarged the B cab that the breather and steering wheel were on the wrong side,so I flipped them over. Is that right? I want to ask the guy about it but I dont really want ot bother him if the trucks been cut and customised. Also why the strip accross the back of the upper part of the cab?
