Nice truck! I had a '97 dually powerstroke with a 5 speed. It had well over 350K on it when I got rid of it last year and the farmer I sold it to is still running it everyday. I picked up this '95 flatbed at the auction when I bought the red and white F model the other day. Only 84k on it and I got it for $700. I couldn't believe it. I'm going to have to paint the top of the cab where the paint is peeling and put a set of valve cover gaskets and glow plugs in it, but other than that, I think it's going to be a good little work truck. post-560-0-76581500-1361937821_thumb.jpgpost-560-0-11277600-1361938282_thumb.jpgpost-560-0-56315700-1361938321_thumb.jpg

yup, cant beat a 7.3. our 99 F350 at work has about 250,000 on it, probably more since the speedometer has not worked in two years. put a new box side and tailgate and rockers on it, the frame and tranny is about shot but the engine runs like new. ona side not has the trusty junk 6.0 BACK to the dealer today after spendin $2100 on new injectors and plugs last week and $1400 on a new FICA module last year. did test drive a brand spankin new 6.7 liter lariat today that id like to talk the boss into buying. what a powerhouse. sweet truck to. they even offered to give use 15 grand for the junk 6.0 with 125,000 on it and a worn out v plow.

F series in upstate NY is nowhere near a solid truck after a few winters, along with the Dodge pickups they are rot wagons and Gm is in 3rd place. diesel powered ones will run forever but its hard to get your money out of them in this salty climate they way they waste, pour the salt on the roads. kinda makes you sad to work for years to pay a truck off only to have to buy another cause its rotted out.

I got a 85 non turbo'd 6.9 f350 4x4 dually and i love it. Its just one of many trucks i got but a fun playtoy.

6.9 is a good motor. The 7.3 is just the 6.9 bored out. That's why you have to be careful with cavitation with the 7.3's. Make sure you put the additive in the water.

Cheers, Rob
