Excellent find!

Any idea what killed the original motor with so few miles? Head rings?

 

Your guess is as good as mine. A friend of my Dad's bought the truck to part it out but he thought we might want it to restore instead.

One more. This is actually one of the first R797s built. The vin is R797ST1021 which makes it number 21. Sorry no U models Vin! The only other truck he still has laying there is a Mack EF that I'm going to be getting for him some time in the near future.

Yes I do have some pictures of the RS but I just haven't had time to post them yet. I'm not sure what shape the turn signals are in but if your interested in them I might sell them once I get the truck.
