Its a 1986 International S1900 with a DT466 and 13 speed. It has had the same driver since new. Robi guess they dont put big cab shields because the bodies are so long that when the dump it would stand too tall just my opionHonestly, I'm not sure why we have small or no cab shields at all. Your point REEL sounds logical. I think another reason is to keep tare weights as low as possible for doing ton/mile work. I have never done ton/mile, and never will ( I'm to slow) so I don't know much about it.Funny thing, when I replaced my dump box everyone told me to cut off the cab shield , but I think an R needs a cab shield to look right, even if it is a small one. Here's another sheildless truck that works for me occasionally. I guess the loader never really gets too close to the cab with the bodies being 19 plus ft.
